Shipping and returns.
Crazy for Ruthie jewellery offers economy and express shipping options both in the UK and worldwide.
Economy shipping can take between 5 – 10 working days to destinations worldwide excluding time which the parcels may spend in customs.
Express shipping can take between 2 – 4 working days to destinations worldwide excluding time which the parcel may spend in customs.
You can select between economy or express shipping at the checkout but it is recommended that express shipping is always used for higher value orders (over £300).
All shipping options have delivery confirmation so you will be required to sign for your parcel upon receipt.
All in stock items are shipped within 2 working days of your purchase excluding UK national holidays. Economy shipping to the US, Europe and Australia can take up to 4 weeks and such delays may particularly occur in and around the holiday periods – if you need your order by a certain date, we suggest upgrading to express shipping and email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know so we can do our best to get it to you on time.
Commissioned pieces and custom-made orders can take between 7 to 21 days to complete depending on the metal and gemstones being used. An indication of the likely dispatch date will be given when a commission order is placed. Shipping times will then be as outlined above. Whilst we ship worldwide, please not that you are responsible for any tax and duty charges applied when your parcel goes through customs.
Crazy for Ruthie cannot be responsible for items damaged or lost in post, if you want the reassurance of a fully tracked postal service with insurance, please select the express shipping option during checkout.

With an eye to sustainability and recycling, the standard packaging in which all our jewellery is dispatched is an unbranded cardboard jewellery box with a foam insert and branded cardboard display insert; the box is secured with twine or ribbon and a branded sticker that can be removed (with a wee bit of care!) without damage. All of these packaging components can be recycled.
We do understand that some jewellery is for extremely special occasions and, for those, we do have the option to upgrade to a luxurious wooden presentation box. These presentation boxes can be found and added to your order within the shop.
Please check your ring size before you order. It is best to do this properly and not just guess, or measure with a piece of string. To check the size, you can order a ring sizer from the Crazy for Ruthie shop or most jewellery shop counters will provide a measurement.
Re-sizing of finished rings will incur a fee, this fee will depend on the ring design, the resize and the material of the ring and will be confirmed upon enquiry.
Payments in Installments.
We do accept payment in installments. Reserving an item for payment by installment requires a 20% deposit, with the option to pay the remaining cost in equal installments as agreed in advance. The reserved item will be dispatched as soon as the full payment is completed. If payment cannot be completed and the order is cancelled you will be refunded your money.
Wear and Tear.
Jewellery is, by it’s nature, fragile. All of our jewellery should be worn with care. Please don’t wear your jewellery in the shower, or during extreme physical activity. Some gemstones are particularly delicate, for example, opals, turquoise, pearls and prehnite are susceptible to damage and should not come into contact with cosmetics, perfumes or lotions or hard/sharp objects. Discolouration and oxidation can occur with most metals, so please avoid contact with perfumes, lotions or detergents where possible. As a particular note, the chlorination in swimming pools, hot tubs and cleaning products can cause gold jewellery to become brittle and crack, so please remove your jewellery before heading to the pool or spa (or cleaning the bathroom!).
We accept returns on our in-stock jewellery. If your in-stock jewellery purchase is in any way not quite what you expected, or not quite the right size, you are able to return it to us within 14 days of receiving your order. For the return address and instructions for postage, please email us at email@example.com providing your order number and details of the product you would like to return and why. We would like to know why you wish to return an item, we work really hard to try and make jewellery that you love, but we understand that it is always possible to do better, and with your feedback we can work to make sure we do things as best as possibly can.
To be eligible for a full return, your jewellery must be unused and free from scratches, blemishes or adjustments and without wear and tear, it must also be in the original packaging and include a note with your name and your order number in the returned parcel. Buyers are responsible for return shippings costs and any loss in value. Once your returned item arrives, we will inspect it for alteration, wear and tear, and damage – if the piece is returned in it’s original condition, we will initiate a full refund to the account from which the purchase was made.
Returns will be processed within one working day of receipt. An email confirmation will be sent once the refund has been initiated. Please allow up to 7 business days for the refund to be credited to your account.
Unfortunately, we don’t accept returns on custom made jewellery, but we do want you to love your jewellery. If there is an issue, will work with you to make sure you custom made piece is exactly as you would like – please just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
